History
bitGate Data Systems GmbH was established in 1995 and is headquartered in Alsfeld, Hessen, Germany.
Four shareholders started back in 1995 as "spin-off" from Siemens to develop specific ATM test solutions. This expanded into a full portfolio of ATM interface testers and converters. Today bitGate is market leader in POS / Utopia Level 3 testing.
Major milestone for the continued growth of bitGate has been the aquisition of the 863x product in 2002. This portfolio enhancement brought bitGate the entry into protocol analysis, especially 3G/UMTS. bitGate is proud to deliver worldwide into this hot market.
Jürgen Bach, one of the initial company shareholders, took over the position of Managing Director in 2002. He is successfully leading the company, while diligently growing its financial performance, enhancing its product portfolio and increasing employee headcount.
